Dr. Lolita Mathew oversees the R&D strategy for the Cherry Program at Pairwise. She also serves as the Lead Collaborator for the Yam Project in partnership with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. Prior to her current role, Dr. Mathew spearheaded the trait and gene editing strategies for novel vegetable crops, as well as yield programs for soy and canola. Before joining Pairwise in 2018, she was with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she led multiple projects focused on developing innovative pest management strategies. With over a decade of multidisciplinary experience across various agricultural crops, Dr. Mathew is dedicated to advancing commercial agricultural solutions. She holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Arizona State University and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences from Kerala Agricultural University, India.
